摘要
The Portuguese press followed closely the revolutionary events in Russia. The newspapers and magazines paid more attention to the Bolsheviks coming to power than to the overthrow of the monarchy. From February 1917, the press concentrated more on Russia's involvement in the First World War, and since October the focus shifted to the activity of the Bolsheviks, which was depicted primarily in negative terms. The press promoting Bolshevik ideas had little popularity in Portugal. Most newspapers vilified the Bolsheviks, contributing to the consolidation of the Portuguese right-wing forces, which found a common enemy.
