摘要
The essential oil (average yield 4%) isolated by hydrodistillation from semi-dried leaves of Ocimum keniense Ayobangira was analysed by GC and GC-MS. A total of 22 compounds accounting for 86.8% were identified. 1,8-Cineole (38%) and methyl chavicol (24%) were the major constituents. Other significant constituents were chavicol and sesquiterpene hydrocarbons.
