摘要
The laminar flow of an electrically conducting viscous incompressible fluid past a porous plate subjected to a slightly sinusoidal transverse suction velocity distribution is analysed. The flow becomes three-dimensional due to this type of suction velocity. The mathematical analysis is presented for the hydromagnetic boundary layer flow without taking into account the induced magnetic field. For the asymptotic flow conditions, the components of the plate skin friction and the rate of heat transfer are obtained. It is found that the skin friction factor F1 decreases considerably with the increase of the Hartmann number, M.
