摘要
The statistical inelastic cross-section [SICS(C)] model for the Monte Carlo simulation of molecules with continuous internal energy is derived by modifying the SICS(D) model for discrete internal energy [Phys. Fluids A 4, 1782 (1992)]. The SICS(C) model specified for rotationally inelastic collisions with the use of Parker's rotational energy gain function is applied to the Monte Carlo simulation of a nitrogen shock wave and compared with the SICS(D) model.
