ANALYSIS OF SELECTIVE WASTE COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR THE INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF URBAN SOLID WASTE IN THE CITY OF AQUIDAUANA

This paper addresses the system of selective collection in the city of Aquidauana-MS, emphasizing the recyclable material (members and independents), the marketing of recyclable products and the contribution of the process of selective collection system for the integrated management of shared waste. Selective waste collection has been going on informally Aquidauana, being held by the scavengers who roam the city streets in search of recyclable materials. These materials are marketed with local buyers in turn sell them to companies in Campo Grande, which confirms the expansion of activity. However, production of solid waste in this city is favorable for the implementation of selective collection, increasing the income of scavengers and thus contribute to the efficient management of municipal solid waste.
