摘要
Canadian research in support of reactor safety covers a wide range of fields. This paper gives an overview of some of the more important areas of research related to high-temperature chemistry and highlights recent experimental results. The topics covered include fuel oxidation and fission product release, fuel/cladding interaction, thermodynamic database assessment and calculations, chemical kinetics, Knudsen cell studies, and aerosol chemistry.
