摘要
By every minute markets become more globalized, impacting in different areas and making way for new means of competition and cooperation that transcend borderlines. As a result, the software development field was also influenced, which lead many organizations to try the development of software products on establishments located in other countries. Distributed Development of Software (DDS) then emerged; a field that presents many risk factors, such as geographic spread and communication issues. Although organizations where DDS is used tend to face a great deal of difficulties, it was found that risk mitigation measures make benefits overcome difficulties. Moreover, embracing it not only reduces costs but also increases competition between organizations. A case study and bibliographic research were the chosen methods to identify DDS most current risks and the how to handle them.
