摘要
Fortan-80 is a versatile language, well-suited for floating-point calculations, array handling and formatted I/O. But, like any other language, Fortran is not the best choice for every application. PL/M-80, for instance, is often superior for implementing systems, and assembly can be superior when time or memory space are limited. This article shows how Intel's Fortran-80 implementation uses new features and, with the help of some extensions, provides a language that works well and efficiently in real-time applications.
