SYNTHETIC SOLAR WBVR COLOR INDEXES AND POSITION OF THE SUN IN THE COLOR-COLOR DIAGRAMS

Synthetic solar color indices in new WBVR photometric system are computed. The WBVR system was derived recently at the Tien Shan High-Altitude station of Shternberg Astronomical Institute by convolution of response curves of this system and three curves of energy distribution in solar spectrum. The latter were obtained during last five years. Special attention was paid to the derivation of constants that determine the zero of the photometric system. Constants were derived by means of data on stars in four photometric catalogs. It was discovered that position of the Sun in (W-B)-(B-V) and (V-R)-(B-V) diagrams is eccentric, independently of the source of spectrophotometric data, which was used for computation of colors. Solar (W-B). and (V-R). colors correspond to stars earlier than G2V, while (B-V). color corresponds to stars later than G2V. Position of the Sun is eccentric also in the (V-B)-(B-V), if direct measurements of colors are used.
