摘要
This work presented the development of the serious game, called Flip Math, with the purpose of assisting elementary students in the learning of Basic Mathematics. In this serious game, five concepts of Basic Mathematics are worked: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division and Signal Priority. In order to analyze the potential of the game as a tool to assist in the teaching of mathematics, a quantitative evaluation and a qualitative evaluation were carried out. In the quantitative evaluation were measured each of the concepts worked through questionnaires completed by the teacher, referring to each student, before and after the use of the game. The data were then statistically analyzed using the t-test and the results were presented. In the qualitative evaluation, a data collection was performed through a questionnaire, with the purpose of analyzing the technical and pedagogical usability of the game. Then, the results obtained were presented. The results of both analyzes showed that the serious game Flip Math proved to be a great tool when used in the classroom, where the students evolved in each of the concepts worked after the use of them, due to the intuitive way contents are displayed and the capacity of the tool of motivate students during the challenges.
