SURVEY ON USE OF COMPUTERS AND SOFTWARE IN PRECAST CONCRETE INDUSTRY

ln 1994, the PCI Computer Software Committee surveyed the Professional and Producer Members of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete institute regarding the use of computers and software in their businesses. This report summarizes the findings of that survey concerning the current use of computers and the membership's desires for PCI involvement and assistance in this area. Altogether, 63 Professional Members and 61 Producer Members responded to the survey. The questions and summarized answers for the Professional and Producer Member surveys are compiled separately. The general consensus is that the PCI needs to take a more active role in reviewing and providing information on computer software.
