摘要
This short communication describes ways in which the raw transcript of searches in the literature, including patents, can be processed to make the results easier to assimilate and more informative. This is achieved by techniques of search and processing on the on-line databases and then by work on the user's own software. The subsequent analysis includes such techniques as the creation of a searchable database, and statistical and semantic analysis and visualization. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
