Pregnancy loss upon delivery of a stillborn infant can be a traumatic time for the family involved. The aim of this literature review is to explore the relationship between the childbirth educator and the mother of the stillborn infant in the period following delivery, and to identify what can be applied in practice. Studying the influence of a healthcare team on grieving mothers may have positive outcomes for future families and nurse-patient relations. The feelings following a stillbirth can be a health factor in grieving mothers and indicates a clear need for insights.
