摘要
The differential scanning calorimeter is not an absolute measuring device, so that it is indispensable to calibrate it for a suitable utilization. In this contribution a calibration procedure for which temperatures and heats of fusion accepted in the literature of were considered five pure materials is presented. Six samples of different masses were prepared for each material having different masses and each of them was submitted to heating from room temperature up to 50 degrees C above of the end fusion temperature using various heating rates for each sample. Then, to determine a ratio of fit between the experimental data obtained and accepted values, a method of nonlinear regression was used by a matrix procedure developed in the MATLAB environment. The results showed a correction with a standard deviation of 1,2 degrees C in temperature and 2,15 J/g in heat flow rate.
