IN SEARCH OF EMPLOYMENT: THE TRANSITION OF UNIVERSITARIANS AND GRIEVANCES FOR THE WORLD OF WORK

This article aims to describe how was the transition of college students to the world of labor. This is an excerpt of a larger research that aimed to understand how psychology students become professional psychologists. From an interactionist and ethnomethodological perspective, 11 (eleven) students were interviewed shortly before graduation and, again, about a year after granting the first interview. The concern about the work occupies a central place in the lives of the participants, either as students or new graduates, reflecting the difficulties of the transition from university to the world of labor, as well as the strategies used by them to find a job.
