摘要
The efficacies of ceftiofur sodium (Naxcel(R): The Upjohn Company, Kalamazoo. Mich.) used as a single entity (1.1 mg/kg) and combinations of oxytetracycline-sulfadimethoxine, ampicillin-sulfadimethoxine, and penicillin-sulfadimethoxine for the treatment of undifferentiated bovine respiratory disease (UBRD) were compared under field conditions in four commercial feedlots of the northwestern United States. A total of 527 cattle selected for the study were monitored for body temperature, appetite, clinical success on Days 4 and 6, relapse rate over a 28-day period following treatment, number of days on treatment, and mortality. Treatment was for either 3 or 5 days, depending upon the clinical response by Day 4.
