OXIDATIVE DEHYDROGENATION OF ISOBUTANE AND ISOPENTANE ON A ZINC-TITANIUM CATALYST

摘要
The effect of the chemical composition of the ZnO-TiO2 catalytic system on its phase composition and catalytic properties in oxidative dehydrogenation of isobutane and isopentane was investigated. It was found that catalysts with a different ratio of zinc and titanium contained zinc orthotitanate, Zn2TiO4, zinc orthotrititanate, Zn2Ti3O8, zinc metatitanate, ZnTiO3, and zinc and titanium oxides. Samples with an atomic ratio of zinc to titanium of n greater-than-or-equal-to 2.0 exhibited the highest selectivity with high specific activity in oxidative and oxygen-free dehydrogenation of isobutane and isopentane. Zinc orthotitanate was the basic component of these catalysts, and the concentration increased with an increase in the atomic ratio of zinc to titanium.
