Digital identity of teenagers: variables related with Information and Communication Technology uses and risks

摘要
This paper shows the results of the main aim of this study; it was to know the presence that the technology have in the youngster's leisure, their applications and motivations, as well as situations of violence online. The design of the research is descriptive and the method for collection of data was the survey. The sample is formed with 287 students between 13-17 years old (51,9% boys and 48,1% girls). The results show the widespread use of technology in entertainment, communication and relationships between teenagers. Making visible the online violence through the mobile and social networks, exerted in way of threats, verbal and psychological violence. Particularly, in love relationships is made through the control and influence on the friendship environment of the couple. In the discussion, it is verified that adolescents make use of technology oriented to pleasure and immediate satisfaction. Consequently, there is a need to educate and sensitize from all areas in the formation of conscious, critical and responsible citizens to navigating in digital scenarios.
