摘要：
The most difficult problem facing the success of future consumer home automation products is not a purely technical one: how to make the products or systems intuitive to use, work together, yet powerful enough to have real perceived value to the consumer. The paper describes how existing Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques are directly applicable to solving the human interface problem of home automation products even when the "system intelligence" is widely distributed among different products sharing a common home network.
