摘要
Some statistics indicate that femicide in Turkey has increased by fourteen times in recent years. This reveals that the femicide is a social problem that has the highest rate of increase in Turkey. The murder of women has increased 1400 percent in the last decade, in 2014; the processing of a total of 314 murders of women and their relatives injured is 136 respectively. In the first 10 months of 2015, 345 women were murdered. Besides, 73 women were injured and some of them seriously wounded. These indicators reveal that the rate of violence against women in Turkey has dramatically risen in recent years. Starting from this point, in this study, Bursa and Turkey official statistical data of last 10-years history of violence against women are obtained from the Bursa Family and Social Policies Provincial Directorate and Bursa Provincial Gendarmerie Command, and have estimated the number of violence against women. By using these data, this study has tried to estimate the number of violence against woman in the future. By using Artificial Neural Networks modelling, the study forecasts that until the end of 2016, 6355 incidences will occur in Turkey.
