Using the ore deposits of Tatarka, Chuktukon and Tomtor as examples the peculiarities of REE distribution in the main types of weathering profiles of carbonatites such as hydromicaceous, lateritic and epygeneticaly altered were considered. The data on the composition and content of REE in weathering products and separate minerals (bastnesite, cerianite, monazite, florencite, churchite, cerian pyrochlore, francolite, caleite, siderite etc). The factors of REE fractionation in the supergene carbonatite zone are discussed.
