The Political Subject. Death and Transfiguration

Moving from the irreversible crisis of the unitary and sovereign political subject of modernity, the essay analyzes the persistence and productivity of representation. The liberal governmental technique produces heterogeneous, politically hybrid and infra-governmental forms of subjectivation. Built upon a naturalized image of itself, immanent to the social, the governmental technique limits and obscures the fault of dissent of subjectivations themselves. The representation, rehabilitated by hegemonic strategies on a post-foundational and post-structural basis, opens up the spaces for a possible, even though difficult, critical repoliticization.
