POLLUTION SOLUTION REVISITED

A recent review of present world health data regarding pollution related health costs emphasizes the need for immediate implementation of a "hydrogen-energy" policy. Fossil fuel combustion products and by-products are taking an enormous toll of human life. Morbidity and mortality rates are increasing as the result of decreased ozone layer protection, increased atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2/greenhouse effect), acid rain problems and urban smog; all contributing directly to a huge human health-related medical budget. Indirect health costs result from oil-related war casualties, oil and gasoline spills. and other fossil fuel production, distribution and end use complications. Rapid transition to the Hydrogen Economy (HE) would eliminate all of the above and provide a more compatible environment for human health.
