MODIFICATION OF TURBULENT FLUXES AND TEMPERATURE-FIELDS IN THE ATMOSPHERIC SURFACE-LAYER OVER 2 ADJACENT AGRICULTURAL AREAS - A CASE-STUDY

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the atmospheric surface layer over two adjacent agricultural areas. Data from the LOTREX 10E field experiment HIBE 88, which took place in May and June 1988 in the Hildesheimer Borde (FRG), were used. A line of nine masts was erected perpendicular to the boundary of a wheat field and a sugar-beet field, to measure temperature, humidity and wind profiles at different heights. All components of the energy balance were measured at both ends of the measuring line, 100 m long. For this paper, data have been selected from cases when the wind blew parallel to the line. In a case study, the dependence of the development of the internal boundary layer on surface parameters and radiation was studied.
