摘要
The results of thermal treatment of aluminium surface by a 0.8-kW YAG:Nd laser beam are presented. In particular, the influence of the treatment regimes on microhardness and on the value and the sign of residual stresses in hardened surface layers of aluminium is investigated. It is shown that the hardening of aluminium by a cw YAG:Nd laser is much more efficient than by a cw CO laser.
