In the current article there is offered an analysis of the elements presented in the poetic work of "Tambores en la noche" by Jorge Artel that help to articulate a discourse on the Afro, based upon a contrast between the two editions of such poetic work, with the aim of knowing how this discourse is defined in poetry.
