摘要
The operating efficiency of an adaptive Capon beamformer in a three-component noise field is investigated. The influence of correlation between the ray paths of the echo signal on the output signal-to-noise ratio is analyzed. It is shown that the Capon method leads to suppression of the echo signal at the output of the array. This effect can be eliminated by the method of spatial smoothing or the technique of forming a weighting vector with a constraint on the set of directions. The possibility of efficient adaptive spatial filtering of sea reverberation is illustrated by mathematical modeling for various hydrological and acoustical conditions.
