MOSSBAUER STUDY OF BI2SR4FE3O12+X ISOSTRUCTURAL WITH THE BI2SR2CA2CU3O10+X 110-K SUPERCONDUCTOR

摘要
We report Mössbauer studies and magnetic measurements of Bi2Sr4Fe3O12+x. From the magnetic measurements and the Mössbauer spectra we conclude that the Bi2Sr4Fe3O12+x is antiferromagnetic with TN=40 K and θ=-258 K. The analysis of the Mössbauer spectra indicates that Fe exists in two states of valence, with relative abundance Fe3+ Fe4+=0.16. In addition, Fe3+ is in a high spin state. © 1990.
