摘要
Recharge to aquifer systems involves an understanding of the flow processes at the soil surface and in the deposits overlying the aquifer. Three major recharge components are identified in a chalk catchment which is partly overlain by boulder clay. A fourth recharge component occurs due to river-aquifer interaction. This paper describes how field evidence is used in association with mathematical models to quantify the recharge components.
