摘要
The theme of captivity in the southern border was firmly rooted to the nineteenthcentury stereotype, built by the sectors of power. According to this, the indigenous were historically linked to the abduction of white Christian from the malones over the border, configuring, thereby, an unidirectional practice. This paper aims to problematize these representations that permeated the traditional historical narratives focusing in captivity as a two-way experience, seeking also to visualize the existence of Indian captives among the whites ones.
