NEURON NETWORKS - PRESENT STATUS AND FUTURE-PROSPECTS

A review is given of the present status and future prospects for the development of one direction in cybernetics-neuron computer networks. A brief historical outline of the development of these networks is given, a description and the structure of basic types of neuron networks are presented, and the principles that serve as the basis for their construction are investigated. Application areas for neuron computers and the possibilities for their practical implementation by electronic, optical, electron-optical means are considered. A voluminous bibliography for this subject is provided.
