摘要
Several simple cooling methods have been shown to prevent excessive heating of soil in greenhouse pot experiments. The methods recommended are (1) Maintaining the soil moist (pF2 was used in this study); (2) Shielding the outside and bottom the pots with aluminized insulation paper; (3) Watering the floor of the greenhouses during the hottest part of the day; and (4) Using shade cloth where the experimental plants are not susceptible to etiolation under reduced light intensity. The effect of these relatively cheap methods on soil temperature are partially additive and therefore enhance the options.
