In order to study the effect of cyclic temperatures on creep properties of marble, triaxial compression creep experiments of marble specimens were carried out by using rock servo-controlling rheology testing machine, which can consider coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical processes. In the experiments, different temperatures and cyclic temperatures were considered. Based on the experimental results, the axial strain variation pattern of marble with time under different temperatures and cyclic temperatures was investigated. Based on the knowledge of the triaxial creep properties of marble specimen under different temperatures, a modified Burgers model was developed with consideration of temperature change and cyclic temperatures. The results obtained from this model are very consistent with the experiments. It is concluded that the developed modified Burgers model is suitable to describe the viscoelastic creep behavior of marble, which brings important support for the analysis of long-term stability of rock slope under long-term exposures.
