The purpose of the research was to identify features of the interaction between psychological safety of high school graduates and their personal characteristics reflecting the level of personal development. To evaluate the subjective feelings of psychological safety following tools were used: "The scale of basic beliefs" by R. Janoff-Bulman, estimation of personal properties was carried out using "Questionnaire of the self-organization of the activity" by E.Y. Mandrikova, also the scale of "Life satisfaction" by E. Diener adapted by D.A. Leontiev and E.N. Osin was used, reflecting a common measure of inner peace and mental satisfaction. Based on the results, we came to conclusions about the degree of manifestation of the basic beliefs and personal characteristics of the graduates of schools. The results suggest that the skills of the self-organizing of the gratuates' activity are not yet fully formed; the level of life satisfaction among students is medium due to the fact that all their attention is paid only to the preparation for final exams and they are in a constant worry. It was found that the students have a medium level of expression of the basic beliefs and psychological safety, they tend to simultaneous combination of a positive belief in justice and an opportunity to control their own lives and of negative belief that everything in the world happens randomly. Under such conditions, evidently, the conviction in randomness of all events enhances that should be seen as a negative psychological effect which can lead to distortion of personal development. It was determined that the formation of such qualities as self-organization in activity, such determinants of the future life as goal setting and life satisfaction depend on the basic beliefs, which are formed in childhood and undergo only minor changes while the personal development and collision with reality. These findings and regularities can be used in designing psychological support programs in schools for students preparing for their final exams when psychological safety of the educational environment is provided. Considering the data obtained when a psychological support program is implemented it is necessary to create conditions which would meet students' needs in psychological safety regarded as an important factor of personal development. Special attention, as can be seen due to the results, should be given to the formation of students' positive "worldview" and positive "selfview", as well as an adequate understanding of other people; the imbalance in students' basic beliefs should be eliminated, which is the key to the development of self-determination and to the achievement of life satisfaction.
