摘要
The effect of hot weather on the flexural and compressive strength of concrete, containing different percentage of granulated blast furnace slag and ground rhyolite tuff for partial replacement of cement is studied. The results indicate that concretes containing blast furnace slag as a partial replacement of cement (up to 40 pct) cast and cured at 42-degrees-C have about the same compressive and flexural strengths at later age, as those made with portland cement alone. Using ground tuff up to 20 pct for concretes cast and cured in hot weather condition (+42-degrees-C) decreases deficiency of influence of the high temperature on the compressive and flexural strengths.
