摘要
An oxide precursor (NEPTH) comprising 0.5 Y2O3 + CuO + 2BaCuO2.5 is used to synthesize bulk YBa2Cu3O7-x superconductor. By thermomechanical processing of a silver tube packed with the precursor at 950-degrees-C for less than 90 min, and subsequently cooling in air at less than 200-degrees-C/h, orthorhombic YBa2Cu3O7-x phase is directly obtained. For processing at 950 and 900-degrees-C, the superconducting properties are correlated with the pertinent process parameters.
