HIGH-PRECISION INCLINOMETER BASED ON AN OPTOELECTRONIC POSITION MEASUREMENT PRINCIPLE

摘要
This paper describes a compact, high precision, light weight inclinometer. The sensor system is based on the combination of a simple bubble level with a four quadrant photodiode and support electronics. Design and construction of the inclinometer are discussed. System characteristics and the effect of temperature changes on sensor performance are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The effectiveness of a temperature compensation method is demonstrated.
