COMBINED THERAPY OF THE CERVIX UTERI INVOLVEMENT IN GONORRHEA

Clinical and laboratory examinations of 32 patients with gonorrhea with involvement of the ecto- and endocervix, carried out after local therapy of gonorrhea foci by Ultraton TH4-10-1 apparatus, made in this country, have demonstrated a high efficacy of such treatment: 85.7% of patients were cured. Cytologic studies have confirmed the resolution of the inflammatory process and epithelization of the cervix uteri. The patients no longer complained of vaginal discharge, cervical canal discharge ceased too. The suggested local therapy is effective, available, simple, involves no complications, and may be used both on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
