摘要：

The rock tailings heaps at coal-enrichment facilities take up considerable space and pollute the environment with dust and acid runoff. The main problems that they pose are the small size of the solid particles, the high concentration of heavy metals, and the acid pH of the rock and runoff. Natural over growth of such tailings heaps is sparse. One means of reducing the environmental hazard is reclamation. The properties of the coal-enrichment tailings at OAO Avdeevskii Koksokhimicheskii Zavod are studied, along with possible means of reclamation.
