MAGNETOSTRICTION IN SURFACE CRYSTALLIZED FE-BASED AND FE-NI-BASED METALLIC GLASSES

摘要
By measurement of lambda-e, H(c), and chi-0, we demonstrate that surface crystallization offers a viable method of controlling the magnetostrictive response of metallic glasses. Peak strains of 60 ppm with H(c) = 10 A/m and chi-0 = 10(4) can be achieved.
