PALEOCENE SEA TRANSGRESSIONS IN THE FRAMING OF THE SIBERIAN PLATFORM

Microphytoplankton finds in Paleocene deposits in the southwestern Siberian platform (the Sukhoe bauxite deposit on the eastern slope of Enisei Ridge) and in the upper Paleocene - lower Eocene deposits of the northeastern framing, of the platform (Kunga graben in the northern Verkhoyansk region) are discussed. Both localities are far from the reconstructed coastal lines of the late Paleocene and early Eocene seas. It is supposed that the sea ingressed along the sublatitudinal foredeep from western Siberia and along the rift grabens to the northern Verkhoyansk region.
