摘要：
The paper explains the principle of hydraulic diode operation and the possibilities of its application for protection of pressure systems in the water supply and power sectors. A cylinder-shaped model of the hydraulic diode was developed, where measurements of energy dissipation for different diameter and height relations in relation to flow were carried out. The measurements were conducted for forward and attenuating flow direction. The loss coefficient was calculated in relation to the diode height and diameter.
