摘要：
This paper focusses on the matching approach to labour market flows. It briefly reviews the facts on gross worker flows for the UK. It then considers an alternative to the standard matching model which allows for job search by the employed. This significantly affects the nature of aggregate unemployment dynamics over the cycle. Finally, we consider the implications of the model for aggregate labour market dynamics.
