摘要
The Mills Peak section is the thickest volcanic and volcaniclastic sequence within the Goodhue Formation (Permian of northern Sierra Nevada). It consists of pillow lavas and massive lava flows and varied resedimented volcaniclastic deposits with exclusively volcanic components. All these are basaltic in composition and are cut by cognate feeder dikes. The Mills Peak sequence is here interpreted as a fragment of a former seamount of the Paleozoic arc of northern Sierra Nevada.
