摘要：
A Coherent Optical Spread Spectrum technique involving phase modulation of a lightwave carrier and self-homodyne detection is proposed. This technique is described theoretically and tested experimentally. A fibre optic Code Division Multiple Access communication system using a master laser source and employing the above spread spectrum technique is proposed.
