摘要
Vector computers are designed for high performance computing. Their efficient utilization depends on fast memory access. In many applications memory access conflicts (bank conflicts) drastically reduce the performance. We propose a method to recognize such problems and suggest strategies to resolve them. Some experiences with an implementation for Fortran programs are outlined. These methods can similarly be used for other scientific computer languages like C or Pascal.
