摘要
It is proposed that a nonlinear resistor be added to a high-power pulse generator with plasma current interrupters to protect the capacitors in case of breakdown of the vacuum feedthrough insulator of the interrupter. Carborundum resistors, copper wires, tungsten wires, and foils are examined and used experimentally as nonlinear resistors. The possibility of obtaining the required damping factor for the capacitors (greater-than-or-equal-to 1.5 for the IK-100-0.4) with first-current-pulse amplitude losses of less than 10% is shown.
