摘要
This paper deals with Mexico's foreign trade during the First World War with the purpose of analyzing the changes that took place in this field of economic activity during these years and to assess, as far as the available evidence allows it, to what extent they were the result of the European conflict or should rather be attributed to the civil war that was being fought at the same time within the country. The study includes an in depth analysis of the changes in the main features of Mexico's trade, with special attention to the first two years of the Great War; an examination of the geographic redistribution of this trade as a consequence of the international conflict; and an evaluation of the changes in prices and their effect upon Mexico's terms of trade.
