摘要：
A new type of lawsuit, wrongful adoption, is a growing concern in adoption practice. Social workers and agencies face legal action for failure to disclose medical and other health-related information about children to the parents who adopt them. The author examines the potential impact of nondisclosure of health and background information, the legal theories on which wrongful-adoption cases are brought, and suggests actions agencies and social workers can take to minimize liability in this area.
