GIANT MAGNETORESISTANCE OF CO/CU SUPERLATTICE UNDER HIGH-PRESSURE

摘要
The magnitude of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) of the (Co10 Angstrom/Cu10 Angstrom)(15) superlattice has been measured up to 20 kbar. It is found that the electrical resistivity rho decreases with increasing pressure at room temperature, having the rate rho(-1)partial derivative rho/partial derivative P = -22 X 10(-3) kbar(-1). The magnetoresistance (MR) ratio Delta rho/rho(s) at 4.2 g slightly decreases with increasing pressure. The saturation field H-s also decreases with increasing pressure.
